Classical music generator

The YouTube API and some JavaScript generate random combinations of piece types, instruments, and keys, and then sees what YouTube has to offer.

This side project creates a hypothetical classical “piece” by pulling a random piece type, key, and solo instrument, and then using that as a YouTube search term to determine whether such a thing exists. (It doesn’t always.) This was an attempt to discover new works and recordings by letting the Math.random() function decide what combinations I should search for.

I’m not sure I would have found Amy Turk’s glorious harp arrangement of the Bach Toccata and Fugue in D Minor without it, so the whole thing was worth it.
