Hidden button labels!

I did something I’ve wanted to do for a while and bought a set of Super Famicom-inspired buttons for one of my SNES controllers. I think I first saw the original Japanese Super Famicom logo in the SNES version of SimCity; I had no idea what it was referring to.

The now-familiar green, blue, yellow, and red buttons look sharp in the controller, but what really interests me is the fact that these North American shells, which have the model number SNS-005, include the original Super Famicom colour scheme as part of the interior labelling. I also learned (from experience) that the tiny notches on the SNES buttons make them incompatible with the NES and Game Boy.

Yeah, it’s pretty gross in there.
